Sony Pictures sent a letter to several media outlets Sunday demanding they delete troves of emails delivered by hackers that resulted in an immense information dump which exposed the private dealings of the studio..
The letter reads -
ReCode have published a copy of the three-page letter sent by Sony for the deletion of published, that it received on Sunday.
While some of the emails just revealed Hollywood in-fighting, others required apology after studio head Amy Pascal made racially insensitive comments about President Obama.
The New York Times and other online media have got the letter from David Boies, an attorney hired by Sony asking to take down the published information from the hacked emails. He mentioned that the information published from the hacked emails is termed as Stolen data.
"We are writing to ensure that you are aware that SPE does not consent to your possession, review copying, dissemination, publication, uploading, downloading or making any use of the stolen information, and to request your cooperation in destroying the stolen information," said the letter.The hack is getting worse for the Sony Pictures as tonnes (GB's) of the information have been leaked by the group of hackers called Guardians of Peace (#GOP). Moreover many emails and upcoming movies scripts have also been leaked.

Till yet Sony have not comment on this. The investigation of the hack is on process. Sony hires Mandiant to investigate the incident and earlier it was pointed that North Korea was behind the attack. But state denied of any involvement.
