British Airways Suffered Data Breach, 380,000 Users Data Affected

British Airways got hacked and about 380,000 users data and credit card details affected.
Today, British Airways had made the announcement of the data breach that affects customer data. British Airways noted that customers that used the airline's website and mobile application to make bookings between August 21 and September 5 are affected by the incident.

As the investigation is not yet completed, air carrier says almost 380,000 customers personal data and financial data were affected on this data theft. But at the meantime, Airways have patched the vulnerability and notified to the relevant authorities.

On the notification post, British Airways says - 
"We will be contacting affected customers directly to advise them of what has happened and are advising them to contact their banks or credit card providers and follow their recommended advice,"
British Airways have restored their system and all the operations are running normally, but they also notify its all users to immediately change their passwords and also contact to the respective banks.

The chief executive of British Airways has promised to compensate customers who have had their data stolen in what he described as a sophisticated breach of the company’s security systems.
